Hyper Light Technologies Secures Series A Funding Round to Support Ongoing Research and Prototype Development of New, Different Photonic Device to Address Infections
Cary, NC, April 6, 2017 – Hyper Light Technologies, an early-stage technology company focused on UV-based surface disinfection today announced it has completed a Series A round of financing. The lead investment came from a large, privately-held family office in the Southeast with a diverse portfolio of investments including several life science, medical device, and medical software start-ups. The capital will help the company aggressively expand its research efforts and initial prototype development. The Series A financing builds on an already successful decade of research and development by Founder, Kurt Garrett.
Hyper Light’s planned design is a departure from low pressure commercially available solutions that require quarantined space to operate. The development of the company’s Cool UVTM technology will allow users to deliver targeted, high-powered disinfection within inhabited spaces.
